We serve the Tsleil-Waututh First Nations and urban Aboriginal, Inuit and Métis people, who live on our traditional territory.
Vision Statement
We are a visionary team dedicated to promoting the self sufficiency of Aboriginal people.
Purpose
To operate an Aboriginal Skills Development Centre, which will serve First Nations, Aboriginal, Inuit and Métis People;
To offer education: Essential Skills, High School Leaving, Adult graduation, Grade Equivalency Diploma (GED) to remove barriers to employment.
To help those who are looking for work and/or a career direction;
To promote Human Resource Development, Labour Market interventions, Employment Assistance Services, and Employment Training Programs to meet the unique needs of the First Nations and Aboriginal community within the area;
To implement partnerships with other agencies for the purpose of carrying out the responsibilities and activities of the Employment & Training Centre;
To assist First Nations and Aboriginal Communities to develop and implement Human Resource Development, Equity, Economic Security and Employment Training Programs and opportunities to meet their expressed needs.
We work collaboratively in the field of Aboriginal Human Resource Development to aid the Aboriginal workforce to participate in the shifting labour market in today’s economy.
